Date: Wednesday, July 25, 2018
Time: 10:00 AM
Please join First Lady Tonette Walker on Wednesday, August 1, 2018, as she walks the Wisconsin River Trail in Boscobel, Wisconsin.
Participants will gather and park at Wisconsin River Outings located at 715 Wisconsin Avenue, Boscobel, WI 53805. Please meet by 9:45 AM. The guided walk will span approximately one and a half miles, beginning and ending at Wisconsin River Outings.
The Wisconsin River Trail is a four-phase project that will allow tourists to walk or bike along the Wisconsin River, viewing the natural habitat of eagle’s nests and turtle habitats as they travel. Later phases will eventually allow travelers to walk or bike over the river by bridge and complete a full 60-mile loop from Wauzeka back to Boscobel. The area boasts country and river scenery that allows for peaceful, one-of-a-kind views of nature.
Please be advised to wear or bring with you the following: good walking shoes, umbrellas, sunscreen, bug repellent, hat, layers or a jacket, camera, and water.
