Please join First Lady Tonette Walker on Friday, July 13, 2018 as she tours the Stonefield Historic Site in Cassville, Wisconsin.
Participants will gather and park at the Stonefield Historic Site located at 12195 Count Highway VV, Cassville, WI 53806. Please meet by 9:30 AM. The guided walk will span approximately one mile, beginning and ending at the Visitors Center.
The 2,000-acre Stonefield Historic site is the former country estate of Nelson Dewey, Wisconsin’s first Governor. More than 30 buildings offer visitors a historic perspective of farm life in rural Wisconsin. In 1971, a new building raised on the foundations of Dewey’s original sheep barn opened as the State Agricultural Museum. Today it houses Wisconsin’s largest collection of farm tools, models and machinery detailing the state’s agricultural past.
Please be advised to wear or bring with you the following: good walking shoes, umbrellas, sunscreen, bug repellent, hat, layers or a jacket, camera, and water.
