Please join First Lady Tonette Walker on Wednesday, June 20, 2018  as she walks along the Namekagon River Nature Trail in Trego, Wisconsin.

Participants will gather and park at the Namekagon River Visitor Center located atW5483 US Highway 63, Trego, WI 54888, and bus transportation will be provided to and from the Trailhead. Please meet by 9:30 AM. The guided walk will span approximately one and a half miles, beginning and ending at the Trailhead.

On October 2, 1968, President Lyndon Johnson signed the Wild and Scenic Rivers Act establishing a national system of river protection and the St. Croix National Scenic Riverway. The Namekagon River is a part of the St. Croix National Scenic Riverway and is a designated Wild and Scenic Riverway. This year is the 50th anniversary of that designation.

Please be advised to wear or bring with you the following: good walking shoes, umbrellas, sunscreen, bug repellent, hat, layers or a jacket, camera, and water.
